September 29th, 5:30 AM, a group of classmates and friends boarded a Fullington Tour Bus at the Bellwood Fire Hall parking lot for a full day of activites. Our first stop was at McDonald's for breakfast in Lamar, PA. Then we were off to Wayne County located in Northeast Pennsylvania. We arrived in Honesdale, PA at 10:30 Am, birthplace of the American railroad. At the train station we were greeted by a host serving coffee and apple streusel cake before boarding the train for a Fall Foliage Train Ride along the Lackawaxen River on the Stourbridge Lion Train.
The train stopped in Hawley, PA and we got back on the bus . We continued our journey to the Ehrhardt's Waterfront Resort where we had reservatioons for dinner and a live comedy show by Joey Vincent. As a send off before leaving the premises, wewere given a hand dipped ice cream cone, flavor of our choice.
On the way home we stopped in Bloomsburg, PA at Wendy's in the Buckhorn Plaza for a bite to eat and restroom break. As we travel in the bus we were entertained with two movies ("SOMETHING GOTTA GIVE" starring Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton) and ("OPEN RANGE" starring Robert Duvall, Kevin Costner, & Annette Bening). As usual, Jenny told jokes and gave out prizes.
It was a beautiful day for our bus trip. The bus was comfortable, food was good and the comedy show was great. We were disappointed that the trees weren't more colorful but the sky was blue and weather couldn't have been better. It was a very enjoyable excursion with a fun group of people to spend the day with.

CLASS MINI REUNION
July 31st a celebration was held at the Bellwood fire Hall Banquet Room as classmates celebrated being 65 and Alive. A total of sixty people enjoyed the evening in a very relaxed atmosphere socialising with classmates they hadn't seen in 48 years.
A class group picture was taken outside in the Community Emergency Services Park across from the Fire Hall.
The stuffed chicken breast dinner served by the Fire Hall auxiliary was excellent.
Gifts of donations from area businesses where given to everyone present.
The following items were donated by classmates and Del Grosso and auctioned off by our class auctioneer John Cook and helpers John & Jim Helsley.

A 50-50 ticket sale and the auction was held to make money towards our Fiftieth Class Reunion in 2012, which brought in a total of $564.
Class President Dick Wertz shared his memories of the kids from the other side of the tracks. North Side kids verses South Side Kids.
A tribute to Class President was presented by Jenny in a comedy skit to the words and music "She's Got You" by Patsy Cline.
Matt Caporuscio, DJ played music of the sixty's throughout the evening.
If you didn't attend the reunion , you missed a great evening of fun. Make plans to attend our Fiftieth in 2012. It will probably be our last big reunion.
